Dear Neel
Thank you for the book and the cd's . I started to hear the beeja mantra
cd and i found that it is exactly what I need . I have difficolies to
pronounce the H before the consonant . In german language which i currently
speak they used to have H before vocals ( like english I suppose ) and
this is for me easier. In italian they normaly d'ont pronounce the H.
Only in the italian they speak in Toscana and Florence they used to add
H's everywhere. The cd's are ok and I can hear them on a normal cd player
. In future I will start to read the book . I excercise the first dvd
with the mantra since I recived them . I practise surya namaskar (but
in another way, they teach me) with the sun mantras , pronounced mentally,
nearly two times a day. But I am not pronoucing now the beeja during the
surya namaskar , I only execise them out of the salutation. I answer only
now because i have great difficolties with my internet onnection. (they
told me that in the USA the internet connection is free but here in Italy
you must pay a company). Now I have not the fast connection but only the
normal very slow connection.

Review of Soorya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) Video: This
video provides very explicit instructions for doing the sun salutation
poses. It might be good for the beginning student or anyone who wants
to perfect their postures in these poses. Before actually seeing the demonstrations
of the poses, the viewer listens to Neel Kulkarni the teacher and is given
a visual printout of the text. This would be beneficial for hearing impaired
students. This reviewer found the tape to be very slow-moving and tedious.
It was difficult to stay focused because of the slow pace of the presentation.
Perhaps that is part of the message - to be very mindful of each movement.
New students might be put off by this approach. The video could be enhanced
by presenting the instruction in a different setting. It is obvious that
this video was an amateur production, especially when the instructor was
signaling the camera person at certain points. In its effort to be precise
and clear, the video loses appeal because of its lack of aesthetics.
